Hello, members of Team 20! We have read the additional content you provided and have a general understanding of Neapolitan culture.
Can you send some pictures of Naples’ characteristic buildings so that we can better create the scenes in the game?
In addition, you mentioned a game that can be referenced in the supplementary content, “Octave Traveler”. Can you explain the gameplay and features of this game.

thank you very much!

Hello Runxin, I like your Design Team’s regular communication with your clients!

Do your design team members have ideas what it is you may propose?

You all play games so you have a vast expertise in this area. Would your grandparents engage in playing the games you play? If not, can you outline why they will not want to play the games you play? Doing this exercise may help to think about what qualities a game may have to have an intergenerational appeal.

I am looking forward hearing from you, Erik

Hello, Professor. We are still discussing the design ideas within our group, and we will post the preliminary ideas on the website and discuss them with our Italian members in the future.
My grandparents don’t play my games. Firstly, they are not very good at using products such as mobile phones and computers; Secondly, their eyesight deteriorates, and staring at the screen makes their eyes dry and itchy, which greatly affects their willingness to play games; In addition, as they age, they prefer to go outdoors to breathe fresh air, exercise or communicate with old friends. Finally, some of them are not familiar with games and believe that electronic games are a waste of time.

Hello, professor, usually, my grandparents do not like playing video games. First of all, due to their older age, they may be slow to accept new things like games. Compared with us, grandparents tend to prefer slow, regular and easy to understand things. For game design, as mentioned by the other team, the old and the young play different roles respectively. The old are responsible for explaining and teaching historical and cultural knowledge, while the young are responsible for operation. It may be easier for them to give play to the different characteristics of the two.
