Naples

Naples is an Italian city rich in history, culture, and age-old traditions, renowned for its passionate people, music, food, and unique customs that reflect a fascinating past. Neapolitans, known for their warm, welcoming nature, face life’s challenges with a smile and a joke, and hold a deep connection to their land and traditions. The city is the birthplace of pizza, made with just a few simple ingredients like tomato, mozzarella, and basil, following the strict method of the “true Neapolitan pizza,” cooked in a wood-fired oven. Coffee is also a true institution here; it’s not just a drink but a daily ritual. There is even a tradition of the “caffè sospeso” (suspended coffee), where someone pays for an extra coffee for those who can’t afford it, a gesture of solidarity that reflects the generous, community spirit of the Neapolitans.

During the Christmas season, Neapolitan families create elaborate nativity scenes, a centuries-old tradition best represented along the famous street, San Gregorio Armeno. Here, skilled artisans carve figurines for the nativity, including shepherds, animals, and even modern-day characters. Alongside the nativity, many include the “sleeping shepherd” and the “shepherd with the sheep,” symbols of local folklore.

Among the traditional objects, there’s the “red horn” (corno rosso), an amulet against bad luck, representing Neapolitans’ strong connection to superstitions and symbols of good fortune. Other iconic elements include the “Neapolitan tombola,” a bingo-like game that families play during the holidays, and the mask of Pulcinella, embodying the irony, resilience, and satire of the Neapolitan spirit.

Neapolitan music is also world-famous, with traditional songs like “O sole mio” and “Funiculì Funiculà” that celebrate the love for the sea, the sun, and Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that towers over the city. This bond with the sea and nature reflects the open-hearted character of Neapolitans, as does their devotion to their patron saint, San Gennaro. Every year, they celebrate the miracle of “the blood of San Gennaro,” when a relic of the saint’s blood liquefies, considered a good omen for the city.

Naples is a city where modernity and tradition coexist harmoniously, and among its lively streets, the sounds of mandolins, and the aroma of pizza, you can feel the authenticity of a unique, proud people, deeply connected to their history.

Our views on seniors game project

The project is to design an electronic game aimed at promoting communication between the elderly and young people, reducing the phenomenon of “loneliness” among the elderly and “otaku” among young people. In this game, elderly and young people play different roles and have different tasks. The background of the game is based on Neapolitan and Campanian culture, with elderly people playing the role of “storytellers” reading the game manual and solving level characters, while young people acting as “operators” undertake in-game tasks. At the same time, this game is equipped with physical devices similar to headphones for the elderly to transmit information.

This game allows both the elderly and young people to play their respective roles and work together, promoting communication between the two and effectively alleviating the loneliness of the elderly and the “concealment” phenomenon of the young. The design is very clever, but without physical products as carriers, we don’t know how to complete this design. We don’t have much knowledge about the design of electronic games and don’t know how to design a game. In the past, we used to design based on physical products. What form do you expect the final design outcome to be presented in? Can you provide a specific description?

Hello everyone, I am Kong Maotong, 20 years old, from Heze, Shandong Province,China. Heze, known as Caozhou and Jiyin in ancient times, is a city that integrates red culture, peony culture and ancestral culture, and is known as the Peony Capital of China. Here, you can feel the strong historical atmosphere, taste the authentic food, enjoy the unique natural scenery and cultural landscape. Welcome to my hometown at any time!

In my spare time, I like to go for a walk in the park with my friends or start a trip on the go, and feel the vitality and beauty of life in nature, which makes me jump out of the busy and tense rhythm and get a moment of relaxation .Sometimes, I also read to improve myself and find answers from books. When I feel tired, I also choose to calm down and watch a movie to relieve my mood.

Wonder is a high-quality work that I think is very educational. The movie shows the kindness, compassion and respect of human nature through Auggie’s growth process. Many plots and lines in the film are educational, teaching us how to face the difficulties and challenges in life, and how to face our imperfections with an optimistic and positive attitude. It is my great honor to join the global studio family. I am very excited to communicate and cooperate with you and learn from each other.
