Hello from Polina!

I am Polina, 4th-year design student in RUDN university (Moscow). I have many hobbies, but I prefer challenging myself with new things. I adore creating stained glass and CG painting. There is a stained-glass workshop at my university. Nowadays because of the Covid-19 I mustn’t go to university and can’t go on working there. Staying home makes me sad. In my free time I watch series on Netflix or cook something.

I love travelling. Visiting beautiful cities and remarkable landscapes, meeting new fascinating people always inspires me. I like both traveling abroad and finding new picturesque places in Russia. I don’t have a well-defined idea about my future plans yet. One thing I know for sure: I’ll continue to paint because this is the things I truly enjoy.

Taking part in this project I expect to improve my communication skills and practice English a lot. I’m interested in trying myself both as a designer and a customer.

Can you tell me about the lamp in one of the photos?

      Hi, Erik!
I’m glad that you are interested in my hobbies!
CG painting stands for computer grafics. Another term would be digital art.
Well, my favourite series on the Netflix are “Imawa no Kuni no Arisu” (“Alice in Borderland”) and Vincenzo. I’d recommend the series, of course, if you like detectives and drama.
My favourite place I have travelled to is Montenegro. There are so many picturesque canyons and impressive waterfalls. As for Russia, I’d recommend to visit St. Petersburg, Kazan and The Golden Ring of Russia. The Golden Ring of Russia is a tourist route that consists of eight principal cities and several additional, unofficial secondary cities located in the Ivanovo, Kostroma, Moscow, Vladimir and Yaroslavl regions.
The lamp in the photo is one of my stained-glass works. I’m pleased you’ve paid attention on it. The design is mine too. I’ve presented the lamp to my uncle.
I was happy to answer your questions!
And do you like to travel? What picturesque places would you recommend to visit?
      Poli.
