If you have not done so, I would like you to change your Display name so that it is NOT the same as your username. There are two reasons for this.
- The readers will have a better sense of what is your name and who you are when reading your posts and comments
- Your Username is one element how you and hackers can log onto your account and therefore it is a good practice NOT to have your Username displayed publicly. Thus, if your Username is not displayed, a hacker would need to guess not just your password but also your Username.
How to change your Display name
To change your Display name please make sure you are login to your account. While you are in the Dashboard, select option labelled Profile, see the Step 1 in the image below.
When you can see your Profile perform the following six steps:
- Step 2: Fill your Given/First name
- Step 3: Fill your Family/Last name
- Step 4: Fill your Nickname which should be different from the Username!
- Step 5: From the dropdown, menu select your Display name which should be different from your Username!
- Step 6: Click on Update button to save your amendments and wait for confirmation before heading somewhere else.
