Solutions Feedback | Italy to Brazil

It is important to us to clarify that we encountered difficulty in fully understanding the proposed solutions, as they seemed disconnected from the identified problem and lacked depth in their reasoning. As a result, our team questioned the completeness of the presentation of our concept brief.

First of all, we don’t believe the idea of a fair is appropriate since the bassi (traditional ground-floor apartments) don’t represent just a single neighborhood but rather a historic and typical type of housing found in several districts of Naples.
We also disagree with the proposal of a fanzine, as it seems too scattered for a passing tourist.

Anyway, we believe that the idea of using a QR code could be a good starting point that could be implemented and developed in more detail to ensure it aligns with the design problem.
Below we suggest some recommendations for implementing this solution:

1. Stickers featuring the QR code could be placed outside the bassi, for example in the Quartieri Spagnoli, one of the most central and famous neighborhoods in Naples;
2. The selection of which bassi to display the stickers on would be determined after a sign-up campaign among the neighborhood residents;
3. The QR code could contain two sections: the first would outline the rules of good conduct tourists should follow (e.g. not peering inside the bassi); the second section would feature a map showing the locations of the participating bassi and other places worth visiting, as recommended by the local residents.

We are open to any additional suggestions you may have and hope that these ideas are helpful rather than a obstacle in bringing this inspiring project to life!
