GÜN GAME: RECIPES AND TRADITIONS Objective: Make the GÜN a moment of sharing and fun, highlighting the contribution of each participant through recipes, anecdotes, and convivial activities! Materials Needed Role Cards (one for each participant) Menu Cards (with Turkish dishes and optional culinary challenges) Extra Activity Cards (conversation questions, riddles, and light games) Recipe Sheet (to write and share your creations) Symbolic Prizes (such as best dessert, most original dish, etc.) Preparing the Game(Meeting before the GÜN) Distribute Role CardsEach participant draws a role card representing their special contribution during the event. Examples of roles: Organizer: Coordinates the meeting and ensures everything runs smoothly. Head Chef: Brings the main dish and shares details of its preparation. Tradition Expert: Shares stories or interesting facts about Turkish culture and traditional dishes. Narrator: Introduces games, questions, and conversations to keep the atmosphere lively. Gün Photographer: Captures the best moments with photos or videos. Distribute Menu CardsEach participant draws a menu card with instructions for a dish to prepare. The Tradition Expert and the Narrator propose challenges and questions from the extra activity cards to keep the conversation flowing. Symbolic Award Ceremony At the end of the meal, all participants discuss and choose categories to reward special contributions, such as: Best dessert. Most original dish. Most interesting story related to a recipe. The prizes are symbolic and can include small tokens like a traditional spice, a kitchen decoration, or a Turkish sweet.
