The term “it” in the article refers to the designed product – a cane.
- Adapt to different scenarios: Can it provide support and assistance for elderly people during daily walking, and can crutches adapt to different usage scenarios, such as indoor, outdoor, climbing stairs, etc., to meet the needs of different scenarios,Will it be unstable on turns and uneven roads.
- Can elderly people have support from both hands when standing up from a sitting position.
- Stability: Can the bottom of the cane still maintain balance when the elderly press down on it forcefully? Is there anti slip treatment? Does it have stability? If it is stable, will it cause unnecessary interference with the elderly’s normal walking during use.
- Appearance design: Can the shape and style of the design be liked by the elderly? Does the appearance design of the cane meet the aesthetic needs of the elderly and make them more willing to use it.
- Is the weight of the cane too heavy, and is its material lightweight and sturdy, such as aluminum alloy or carbon fiber.
- Height adjustment: Does the height of the cane take into account the height and arm length of the elderly, is it flexible and adjustable, and is it convenient and fast to adjust to meet the needs of the elderly in different states (getting up or walking).
- Handle design: Whether the width and shape of the handle meet the comfort of the elderly’s grip, and whether the handle material is anti slip.
- Can elderly people clearly see whether the UI interface design meets their aesthetic standards (formerly known as the Little Emperor)
- Can you provide a detailed list of the design points that the cane wants to express, so that we can present the final effect in a more concise manner
- If designing an intelligent cane, please consider whether the elderly can correctly use the functions of each part
1) Can we design the stick with additional components that can be bought and fitted separately?
2) Can we implement technological functions to the stick? This would increase the budget
1)Yes of course, separate modules assembled can lead to more application scenarios and better personalization.
2)If you want to increase budget ,how much it will be?And what is the functions? It will be accepted if it will not paid too much and can better meet the needs of the elderly.
Hello Runxin, have your team find it useful to formulate Criteria which you as Clients will use to evaluate Designers proposed design solutions?
If you have found it useful, can you please outline why was it useful for your team members?
If you have NOT found it useful, can you please outline why was it NOT useful for your team members?
Erik
I think setting evaluation criteria is useful. Just like in the workplace, when the client proposes project requirements and desired outcomes, it helps the designer to have a clearer understanding of what kind of product they want to create, where its essential points lie, and what areas they can utilize to their fullest potential; On the other hand, for Party A, clarifying requirements helps to obtain feasible solutions more quickly and accurately. In this project, developing evaluation criteria can make it faster and more comprehensive for us to verify the feasibility of the plan in the future, and can also promote accurate communication between our two teams.
Hello, Professor, we believe that developing a design evaluation criteria can check whether the scheme provided by the designer meets our needs as a client. These criteria will help us convey our expectations to the designer team, so as to promote the design scheme to be more accurate and targeted to meet our specific needs as a client.
Hello Runxin, to what the “it” is referring to? Can you please include the specific subject first before you use the “it”? Using only the “it” makes your communication vague.
thank you, Erik
Hello, Professor. Thank you for pointing out our issue. This refers to a cane that we need designed by an Italian team. We will pay more attention in the future.
Hello Runxin, I like the way you have given a topic to your post and structured you text is a point form.
You may think to provide a little more explicit titles to your post so it clearer that these relate to you as Clients.
For example,
> Clients’ Criteria to Evaluate Design Concepts
OR
> A list of Criteria to Evaluate Design Concepts by your Clients
I hope that this helps, Erik
Hello, Professor. Thank you for your guidance and assistance, which will be very helpful for our future content releases. Thank you.
