| Hello! I’m An Binh

Hello there! My name is An Binh, and I’m a 21-year-old student currently in my third year of studying Design-Architecture at RUDN University in Moscow. I was born and raised in Hanoi, the bustling capital city of Vietnam, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Hanoi is more than just my hometown; it is the city that shaped my early sense of creativity and wonder. With its centuries-old architecture, lakes, ancient pagodas, and a vibrant street life, Hanoi is a true blend of the old and the new.

Growing up in such a dynamic environment, I was naturally drawn to the world of design and creativity. I found inspiration in the way architecture shapes the identity of a place, weaving stories through its structures and creating spaces that speak to the people who experience them.

My journey in architecture has been guided by a passion for turning creative ideas into reality. I see architecture not just as a profession but as a way to make a meaningful impact on communities, using design to connect people with their surroundings in a thoughtful and sustainable way. My goal is to bring a unique perspective to every project, combining my Vietnamese cultural heritage with the diverse knowledge I’ve gained from my experiences abroad, particularly during my time in Moscow.

I have a range of hobbies that also reflect my love for creativity. I enjoy baking and decorating, where I can express my artistic side through the textures, colors, and forms of my creations. There’s something deeply satisfying about transforming simple ingredients into beautifully crafted treats, much like the process of turning design concepts into architectural realities. These hobbies allow me to unwind and explore my creativity in a different yet equally fulfilling way.

One of my biggest passions outside of academics is anime. For me, anime is more than just entertainment; it’s a source of endless inspiration and a gateway to imaginative worlds. I love how anime can convey complex emotions and tell profound stories through its unique blend of visual art, music, and narrative. The intricate details in the character designs, the stunning backgrounds, and the creative use of color all draw me in, making each scene feel like a work of art. Anime like “Your Name,” “Attack on Titan,” and “My Neighbor Totoro” have had a huge impact on my creative vision, influencing the way I think about storytelling and the power of visual expression. The way anime can take you to fantastical worlds while still connecting to real human emotions is something I find truly magical.

In addition to watching anime, I’m also an avid traveler and sightseeing enthusiast. I believe that exploring new places is one of the best ways to broaden your perspective and find inspiration. I love wandering through the streets of different cities, observing how each one has its own unique character and rhythm. Whether it’s the historic alleyways of Moscow or the lively markets of Hanoi, I find that each place tells a story through its culture, people, and architecture. I’m particularly fascinated by how different cultures express their identities through their public spaces, monuments, and everyday life.

Sightseeing for me is not just about visiting famous landmarks; it’s about discovering hidden gems and capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. I enjoy taking photographs during my travels, focusing on the little details—the texture of a building’s facade, the colors of a local market, or the way sunlight filters through the leaves in a park. These moments often become the inspiration for my creative projects, whether it’s in design, baking, or just sketching in my notebook.

Ultimately, I see my creative journey as a blend of all these different influences—my love for anime, my passion for exploring new places, my enjoyment of baking, and my deep connection to my cultural roots in Hanoi. Each of these interests adds a layer to my perspective, fueling my imagination and inspiring me to look at the world in new and exciting ways. My goal is to continue drawing from these passions, creating experiences and projects that reflect both my Vietnamese heritage and the global influences that have shaped my life so far.
