I’m nineteen and I’m currently studying architecture at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in the 3rd year. Last year I took part in Global Studio, I got an incredibly cool experience and was left with pleasant memories. I was born in Sochi but my passion for art and especially architecture led me to Moscow. The course I’m on is actually the most exciting experience I have had in my life so far. I’ve always wanted to use the knowledge obtained throughout the years of studying the architecture in practice. Global Studio is the opportunity I was looking for. My dreams of really trying myself in design will finally come true.
Apart from studying, I do a lot more things. Family and friends are what matters most in life for me. I spend my free time with them doing sports, shopping, going to museums, art galleries and restaurants. When we do not feel like going out, staying at home and watching TV or playing board games are the best options. I adore the TV show called “Hell’s kitchen” with chef Konstantin Ivlev. This is how I relax completely.
I also enjoy reading. My favourite author is Jane Austen. The aesthetic of her books and the Victorian England is what I usually use as inspiration for my creative work at the university. Classic literature made me realise that each type of art is interconnected. Prose, poetry, painting, design, architecture – all of these are the result of cultural development that has been going on since the beginning of the humanity. I strive to contribute to this cause.
