Deniz Akay
Hello,I am Deniz Akay. I was born in Georgia/USA but now I live in Turkey. I am at the fourth and final year of my industrial design study in Middle East Technical University. I love the challenge of problem solving in design and that’s why I chose industrial design as a profession.In my spare time, I like riding my longboard down the hills and building things out of LEGO. I also like taking walks in the nature with my dog Rex and observe my surroundings. I have an interest in cars as well. I like playing racing games and watching motorsports. I also love listening to Cage the Elephant.My favorite project that I have completed is a personal blender where we had to identify problems with an existing blender and redesign it. We also had to consider sustainability of the redesigned product, and I really enjoyed trying to find ways to make it more sustainable while also trying to solve other problems.
