Hi! I’m Defne Deniz Bülbül, a third-year industrial design student at ODTÜ in Ankara, Turkey. I have two names but i generally use "Defne" in Turkish, “Defne” means “laurel”. And, in Greek mythology, “Daphne” was a nymph who transformed into a laurel tree to escape Apollo. “Deniz,” on the other hand, means “sea” in Turkish.In my free time, I love playing the piano, experimenting with music, and expressing myself through painting and drawing. I enjoy exploring new places and different cultures, and cinema has always been a source of inspiration for me. I also have an adorable cockatiel named Robin who spends his days singing and often enjoys sleeping on my head. As someone who’s a bit introverted, I truly value moments spent in nature or with the people I love.As an aspiring designer, I love creativity, innovation, and developing sustainable design solutions.Therefore i would like to pursue a path within that direction.
