We have come to the end of our project. We are very excited to share our boards and video with you. We hope you like it! 😀

As a result of mutual feedback, we conveyed our final proposition to the opposing team last Sunday and our communication process was completed. As they promised, as a result of a few days’ delay, we got a general final proposition from them, but since all our ideas were ready, we decided to continue with the previous proposition. Although we had some problems and delays in terms of timing, I think it was an efficient and beautiful process. Thank you for your contributions. As you mentioned about before, tolerance is very important, but as METU students, we adapt to professional life and work, so sometimes our professionalism can make it difficult for us to empathize. We wish you a good professional life after this studio! 😇

Here are our first design proposals for the Brief of Team 8! We hope you like them. You can choose the proposals you want to be developed or you can help us if there is a misunderstanding. We really appreciate any help you can provide. See you!

Proposals from Doğa;

1- Let’s game! : An online game where you can discover the communities. When you get close to one community that is talking with each other, you begin to hear their conversations and can enter their chat room if they can open their cameras to you. You can follow other communities and even create your own community. By exploring the environment you can make friends and play games with them. Strict security rules and id control will follow the game. During the conversations, any harmful acts can be discharged from the match and banned from the people. During the game, people can evaluate each other and get points for other opportunities.

2- Find the Buddy! : An online platform that can meet with people and become buddies with different topics! A website that can collect people who have the same sport understanding or any other hobbies under the categories. People can choose one of the topics and enter that category which they like and meet with people on there. There can be certain sports rooms and people can arrange meetings from there to meet up and become sports buddies! It can be the same for chatting topics and studying/working times. The meetings can be face-to-face or online, depending on your choice. Let’s find your sport/study/work/chat buddies!

3- Planetarium Cafe: A cafe-style environment that can have different rooms or areas with events or themes! People can go to a cafe and see the room’s topics/themes for that day or week. They can also see the current people’s basic info from the screens in front of the rooms and decide on going in or not. You can choose the theme and activity that you like and find the people also who like them as well. Also for security issues, people can evaluate each other like coach-surfing and others can see the evaluations and id controlling. There can be planetarium rooms to collect people and show them different theme events/films and offer experiences!

Proposals from Gizem:

1- Mobile App: People over 30 are asked to enter their hobbies and location. The user enters their requests either as a group or as two people. Afterward, he criticizes the person who belongs to the closest and similar hobbies. Thus, by doing his hobbies, he provides both productive time and socialization.

2- Website: A site with established groups for various activities. It gives people the opportunity to have a chat room and video meeting. It is written just above how many participants are in the rooms instantly. People can go to the site without going anywhere, meet people with common interests and socialize. Afterward, they can arrange a face-to-face meeting if they wish, or they can continue by attending the meetings in an existing way.

3- Concept Cafe: It is a cafe that only people who want to socialize go to. It is a must to come to the cafe alone and be in your 30s. Everyone meets the person they want to socialize with. Tables vary between 3-10 people. The person can choose according to his own wish.

Proposals from Ali :

1-The cafe with different tables, these tables are designed according to various interests and the customers who come to the cafe sit at the tables they want according to their interests.

2-mobil app: Think of an application. People in their 30s join various chat rooms according to their interests in the places where they live, and they organize meetings with those in this room and carry out the activities they want.
