Daily Life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Wen manages her daily life independently. She lives on the 6th floor of a walk-up building, so she has to climb stairs to go up and down, which may consume a certain amount of physical strength when she goes out or buys groceries due to the lack of an elevator. Every day, she needs to take a variety of medicines as required and has the habit of taking medicines separately before and after meals. Taking medicines is one of the key links she needs to focus on in her daily life. In addition, due to her age and changes in physical functions, she faces many inconveniences in medication management, such as difficulties in finding, identifying, and remembering medicines. Habits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Wen has a clear habit in terms of medication: she takes medicines separately before and after meals. Problems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Wen mainly faces three core problems related to medication management in her daily life, which are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Difficulty in finding medicines<\/strong>: She needs to take many types of medicines at home, but there is no effective way to organize and store them. As a result, when she needs to take medicines, she cannot find the required ones quickly and accurately, which may delay the medication time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty in identifying medicines<\/strong>: The appearance and labels of some medicines may be relatively similar. In addition, her declining eyesight and cognitive ability due to aging make her unable to accurately identify some medicines, leading to the potential risk of taking the wrong medicine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frequent forgetfulness of medication<\/strong>: Affected by age-related memory decline, she often forgets to take medicines on time, which may prevent the medicines from exerting their due therapeutic effects and is not conducive to the control of chronic diseases and disease management.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, based on the overall research on medication use among the elderly population, as a member of this group, Ms. Wen may also have common problems with the group. For example, chronic diseases are common, and she needs to take a variety of complicated medicines, which further increases the difficulty of medication management. For instance, there may be basic medicine boxes that help organize medicines for easy retrieval (to solve the &#8220;difficulty in finding medicines&#8221;), products with simple labels to assist in identifying medicines (to solve the &#8220;difficulty in identifying medicines&#8221;), or products with basic reminder functions (to solve the &#8220;forgetfulness of medication&#8221;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Product Shortcomings<\/strong>: The products investigated so far all have functional limitations. They cannot simultaneously cover the three core problems of &#8220;difficulty in finding medicines, difficulty in identifying medicines, and frequent forgetfulness of medication&#8221; faced by Ms. Wen.
