I think all your ideas are fantastic and you’ve done a great job! Among the three proposals, I prefer the first one over the latter two—probably because it has lower costs and is more user-friendly and intuitive for the elderly. I’d like to put forward a few suggestions, hoping they’ll be helpful to you. 1. Optimization Suggestions for the "Intergenerational Bridge · Water and Warmth" Project Adapt to an Ultra-Simple Interface for the Elderly 1.A large "One-Click Water Request" button to reduce operation levels. 2.Automatic geolocation recognition to minimize input steps. 3.Voice assistance support: "Little Assistant, help me call a volunteer to deliver water." Form a Closed Loop of "Light Social Interaction + Light Services" Beyond water delivery, expand to: 1."One-Minute Greeting" – Volunteers video-call the elderly to check in. 2.Monthly community exchange meetings to promote real connections. Enhance the "Water Cradle" System 1.Adopt a foldable structure to reduce floor space when not in use. 2.Add water bottle buckles and non-slip pads to prevent shaking during transportation. 3.Introduce a mini half-frame "Water Cradle Lite" – not a wheeled cart, but a lightweight "stable frame" with handles. Elderly users can "drag/slide" it by holding the side handles, saving 40%-50% more effort than carrying a water bottle.
I think all your design ideas are very ingenious, and I am more inclined to the first one. However, you may make some improvements on this basis. For example, adding some fixed securing devices so that the water bucket can be placed more stably on the table or the ground. Secondly, my group members also put forward a suggestion that the water bucket should occupy less space. These are the issues we can think of so far, and we hope you can solve them. I really like your designs. Thank you and keep up the good work! Wu Guodong
By November 26th, you need to create a 3D model of your water bucket design proposal and publish it on your own website; we will also create a 3D model of our bench design proposal and publish it on our website. By December 3rd, you are required to produce a physical prototype based on the bench model we published, and record a 60-second demonstration video using this prototype. The video should show the initial problems you raised earlier and the process of using the product, so as to reflect the product's functions. Finally, create two electronic feedback boards and upload them as "Clients Feedback" to our designers' webpage. Hello,I'm Chong Houyu from Group 3. I'm very glad to have received your design proposal, and I'm quite interested in your first design scheme. I fully agree with the idea you put forward—setting up a WeChat group or an APP, through which volunteers deliver water buckets to the elderly's homes. After all, China's takeout industry is well-developed, making delivery convenient and fast. However, I hope you can design an intelligent product, similar to a water dispenser. This product should allow the water bucket to be placed vertically on the ground instead of horizontally on a rack. As we all know, water buckets are large and heavy, so it takes a lot of effort to move them onto a rack. Therefore, I hope you can improve the first design scheme by developing such an intelligent product. When the elderly want to drink water, they only need to press a switch, and the product can automatically pump water from the bucket and let it flow out from the water outlet above. In this way, the elderly can get water without bending down. Additionally, the product should have a water heating function, so that the elderly no longer need to boil water in the traditional way, which can reduce the risk of accidents. I'm looking forward to you accepting my suggestions and making the improvements! Screenshot
Hey guys!So today I’m gonna teach you a very special word from Naples, in the south of Italy: “scugnizzi.” It’s a Neapolitan word that doesn’t really have a perfect translation in English — but let’s try! Originally, “scugnizzi” were the street kids of Naples — poor children who grew up in the alleys, always running around, playing football, selling little things, or finding creative ways to survive. But the word doesn’t just mean street kids. It has a special vibe.A scugnizzo is clever, full of energy, a bit naughty — but in a fun, lovable way! Think of a kid who breaks the rules, but you can’t really be mad at him because he’s so funny and full of life. That’s a scugnizzo 😎 So if someone calls you a “scugnizzo,” don’t worry — it’s not an insult. It means you’ve got that street-smart charm, that mix of mischief and heart!
We had a call with the group last week. Today, We sent them our brief and asked for clarification about theirs.
