initial ideas

hey you all! we've just discussed ideas during our class and we're sending you right now! first idea This proposal is to design a functional and portable product, consisting of a small wheeled trolley and a modular storage case that holds all accessories required for the ritual (tea, sugar, cups, heating tools, towels, and other traditional elements). The idea is to make it easy to transport the samovar to different places — parks, cultural gatherings, tourism events, and travel situations — while keeping all items organized and protected. The focus is on combining tradition with mobility, allowing the ritual to happen anywhere without losing its authenticity. inspo: our drawing: second idea The idea is to create an educational material — such as a booklet, brochure, QR-based digital guide, mini exhibition, or catalog — specifically targeted at tourists who are unfamiliar with the cultural meaning of the samovar. It would explain its origin, history, function, evolution, regional variations, the social ritual around it, and relevant curiosities. The goal is to transform the samovar from a merely exotic object observed by visitors into a fully understood and valued cultural experience, encouraging an attitude of respect, curiosity, and mindful participation. third idea The idea is to develop a cultural campaign mainly aimed at Turkish citizens, reinforcing the emotional and historical value of the samovar ritual. The campaign could use narratives related to collective memory, national identity, family gatherings, and the preservation of traditions in a modern context. The goal is to inspire cultural pride, intergenerational continuity, and ongoing practice of the ritual not only as nostalgia, but as a living expression of community. note: its our group ideas, our professor oriented us to come up with ideas as a group!
