Hi! I’m Elif Ceren Uçar, I’m an Industrial Design student at Middle East Technical University (METU) and a Business Administration student at Anadolu University, in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. I usually go by Ceren, a Turkish name meaning grace, gentleness, and gazelle, which my mother chose for me. My father named me Elif, meaning sincerity and uprightness. My mom is from the Aegean region and my dad is from central of Türkiye, which makes me a true mix of Anatolia both in spirit and culture. 🌿 I try to live a full life and celebrate every moment. I’ve always been in love with the sea its rhythm, and the sense of freedom it gives me so I love water sports a lot and I do windsurfing, paddling, and swimming, and when I’m not in the water, you’ll probably find me cycling just to feel that same flow. I also play the violin and ukulele, and have music to accompany my days. I also love working with my hands, thus I do pottery wheel and flame glass shaping and also passionate about watercolor painting. I also love photography and enjoy capturing the frames of my life, keeping moments that inspire me. I really enjoy reading and have been building my personal library for the past five years, it already holds nearly 200 books. I’m especially drawn to history, particularly Turkish history, because it helps me understand my roots. It is nearly impossible for me to choose my favorite book because have many but lately it has been 'Olduğu Kadar Güzeldik' (We Were As Beautiful As We Were) by Mahir Ünsal Eriş because I found myself a lot in it. I don’t watch many TV shows, but my favorite series is Outlander, I love time traveling themes and Celt culture and my favorite movie is Call Me by Your Name that gives me the feeling of endless summer which is my favorite season. My favorite artist is Halsey, been a fan for 10 years, love her style and music so much that I relate a lot. I love my profession deeply, because there’s nothing I enjoy more than being creative and productive and industrial design fits that perfectly. I feel alive when creating. And here is a fun fact about me: I’m a bit of a ship nerd, I especially love ocean liners, mostly the Titanic, and I can talk about them for hours. Hi! I’m Zeynep Duru Tırman, but I go by Duru. My father chose Zeynep, which means “the ornament of her father” in Persian, while my mother picked Duru, meaning pure, clear, and transparent in Turkish. I’ve always felt that both names suit me well , calm, sincere, and curious. I’m from Burhaniye, a small town in Balıkesir, located on the Aegean coast of Türkiye. It’s a peaceful seaside town that comes alive in the summer, full of warm people, soft waves, and olive-scented air. Growing up there gave me a deep appreciation for simplicity, authenticity, and nature’s quiet beauty ,values that still shape the way I see the world today I’m a calm and easygoing person who enjoys slow, cozy moments , reading, listening to music, or spending time at home , but I also love concerts, exhibitions, and social events that bring people together. I live alone in Ankara, which has helped me become more independent and creative with my space. I love decorating and making my home feel warm and personal, and I enjoy inviting people over for dinner or long conversations, or working together on new projects. I also have a cat back home with my family. I miss her a lot, and thinking about her always makes me smile. I’ve even been considering adopting another cat here, since I can’t imagine life without one. Music is a big part of my life. I’m a Tame Impala fan, and their newest songs 'obselete' and 'dracula' have been on repeat lately. When it comes to movies, I really love watching films , and I watch a lot of them! Choosing a single favorite is hard, but I usually enjoy romantic and drama films the most, though I’m open to every genre if it tells a good story. I also like sports, I played tennis for 6 years professionaly and I still play when ı have free time. I also love traveling, and one of my favorite recent trips was to Budapest, where I fell in love with. I’m currently studying Industrial Design at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara.

Hey there! My name is Zehra, and I’m currently studying Industrial Design at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. Along with that, I’m pursuing a minor in Production Engineering, since I’ve always been curious about how creative ideas turn into real, tangible products. The name “Zehra” means bright, pure, and flower in Turkish and Arabic. I’m someone who loves exploring new places and capturing moments through photography. Traveling always inspires me — I enjoy observing colors, forms, and textures wherever I go. I think these small details often find their way into my design work later on. I’m also passionate about art, exhibitions, and museums. I find it fascinating how objects and spaces can tell stories about culture, time, and human experience. Visiting museums or local art events is one of my favorite ways to recharge and find inspiration. At METU, I spend most of my time between the faculty and the green corners of the campus. It’s a place that constantly inspires creativity and collaboration. I love those long design sessions with friends that end with laughter, and too much coffee. When I’m not working on projects, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, and playing lego. My favorite book is Martin Eden by Jack London — it’s a story about ambition, self-discovery, and following your passions, which really resonated with me. And one of my favorite serie is Cassandra which i really enjoyed. It’s full of suspense, mystery, and interesting twists about technology and human relationships. I’m excited to keep exploring, creating, and sharing the things that inspire me, and I look forward to the adventures ahead.
