We have added fingerprint unlocking to the wrist device. The wrist will serve as an electronic ID—by unlocking the medical all-in-one machine with the wrist, users can complete the entire process of medical consultation and prescription on the machine. Additionally, simple icons are used on the machine to assist elderly users.

Based on the customer's needs, we have developed 9 solutions aimed at simplifying the digital healthcare process for elderly people in Naples, with humanistic care as the core, allowing the elderly population to feel independent, safe, and inclusive. We solve these problems through a hybrid design of numbers and entities. Below is our conceptual design sketch Ziqi Chan’s Initial Design Concepts Scheme 1: Portable Stone-Messenger A lightweight information upload tool for elderly users, using "stones" as visual imagery to weaken the sense of alienation of technology products and adapt to groups with weaker operational capabilities. Users can use this product as a direct information transmission for spid, or complete the entire process of medical treatment on this compact product through voice input. Scheme 2: Sense-Identify-Link A portable tool that integrates identity authentication and medical services, focusing on simplifying the "identity verification online service" process for elderly users and lowering the threshold for digital medical operations. Elderly people can put their cards in their wallets or hang them on their bodies, and when they need to use them, they can recognize and sense them on the accompanying products. They can directly perform medical treatment and other operations on the electronic screen of the product Scheme 3: Expand-Ease Console A scalable operating tool that adapts to existing devices, designed to reduce the operational complexity of medical digitalization processes, focusing on the "low threshold interaction" needs of elderly users. We kicked off with self-introductions, sharing our individual backgrounds, interests, and design philosophies. While language barriers initially posed minor challenges to communication, the overall atmosphere remained friendly and collaborative throughout the meeting. We delved into our team’s project brief—developing a pill organizer that motivates and reminds the elderly to adhere to regular medication schedules. Additionally, we probed into the usage difficulties associated with SPID (Italian Public Digital Identity System) and online medical prescriptions outlined in the project brief focused on Digital Inclusion for the Elderly in Naples, gaining deep insights into the daily hurdles faced by Italian seniors through targeted questions. The exchange of ideas between both sides on leveraging small yet meaningful product designs to enhance daily habits and health outcomes was highly illuminating. Moving forward, we will maintain communication via WeChat and plan our next meeting to share project advancements and design updates.
