Final proposal-Cuccu Match

Hi,team 24.We have reviewed the feedback you sent us.And we revised our design according to your feedback.Include: 1.add the vibration function in the coaster, but we delete the function of ‘Clink’sounds, which imitate the sound of clinking glasses, because I think clinking glass is the action during drinking. 2.add the fuction of switching the call to messages, for the children who is too busy to reply immediately. 3.use the high-density medical-grade silicone in the heating surface of the stove, but i am sorry still use the metal material on the pop to ensure the hot can conduct, and use the same material on cup and housing of stove to make sure the pruduct have same style. 4.about Wireless Charging Device:I apologize for not explaining clearly. NFC has two working modes: active mode and passive mode. The active mode requires a power supply and we have integrated it inside the stove, while the passive mode does not need power and is placed inside the coffee pot. Therefore, wireless charging is not needed — the same applies to the coaster and the cup. Cuccu MatchDownload

Moka pot advice

Hi guys, I’ve really appreciated your idea and I’ve got a few advices in order to improve it. About materials Avoid using standard plastic. Consider high-density medical-grade silicone (soft-touch and thermally insulating) or treated wood (aesthetically warm and heat non-conductive). To what concerns the charging and manteinance The moka base should function as an inductive docking station. When the pot is placed back on the base (after being washed and dried), it charges wirelessly. Further more, The system should initiate as an 'Invite' (Concept 1). If the child accepts immediately -> Live Audio Chat. If they cannot answer -> The system automatically switches to Voice Message mode (Concept 2). This ensures the elder never feels disconnected. And in the end about haptic feedback To simulate the 'Clink', the coaster could emit a gentle vibration (haptic feedback) when the other person connects, providing a physical sense of presence. Pain Points:1.Coffee is no longer a social ritual.2.Tech is too complex for elderly users.3.Communication is one-sided. Design Principles:Concept 1: Cuccu-MatchA smart Neapolitan coffee pot (cuccumella) with NFC-enabled coasters. When the elder starts brewing, it sends an invite to family. If they accept, both coasters light up.When each person places their cup, the coasters “clink” and start a voice chat.Goal: Brewing becomes a shared moment—no screens, no learning curve.Concept 2: Nonna-RadioA voice-sharing moka pot knob. While coffee brews, the elder records a 30-second message.Twist the knob to send. Next time, it plays replies automatically.Goal: Talking to family becomes part of the daily coffee ritual—just twist and speak.Concept 3: Piazza-in-a-BoxA public coffee box for the neighborhood.Elder taps “Want company,” gets a paper invite.Others scan to join. They meet, brew coffee together, and get a photo postcard.Goal: Brings back the social “piazza” feel—no smartphone needed, just show up.

Moka Pot Design Concepts

Targeting the core pain point that Neapolitan elderly living alone find it difficult to express their emotional attachment to their families and sense of self-social belonging in the coffee-making scenario, a smart interactive product is designed.Taking the daily coffee-brewing operation process as the carrier, this product helps elderly people living alone effectively express their inner emotions and enhance their sense of social belonging through a humanized intelligent interaction system. Currently, based on the above-mentioned design objectives, three differentiated interactive design schemes have been formulated: Scheme 1:Cloud Interaction The intelligent control product provided for the user's Moka pot, it is equipped with a lightweight intelligent cloud platform. Through functions such as social account linkage, coffee recipe sharing, and peripheral service recommendation, elderly people living alone can complete social interactions in the process of brewing coffee. Based on the core tradition of "coffee as social interaction" and the daily social logic of "Prendiamo un caffè? ", the product is naturally integrated into the elderly's life. Through recipe sharing and online chatting, the single-person activity of drinking coffee is transformed into social interaction, meeting the needs of self-worth recognition and emotional connection. Appearance and Shape 1.Common benches on community streets. A bench is not only a resting facility, but also a core carrier for residents' daily social interactions — the elderly will chat with neighbors on the bench, share trivial life matters, and make appointments for coffee. Selecting this styling element is to implant the "street social symbol" familiar to the elderly into the product When the elderly place their mobile phones on the bench stand, they will naturally think of the warm scenes of getting along with relatives and friends in the community, reducing the sense of unfamiliarity with smart products. It makes the act of making coffee associated with the emotional experience of chatting with friends while sitting on the bench, so as to achieve the core design goal of "connecting social interactions through coffee". 2.The sunshade awning of the coffee shop Coffee shops with striped canvas sunshade awnings can be seen everywhere on the streets. They are the most recognizable cultural symbol of the local area, reflecting the living habit of Neapolitan coffee integrating into daily life. The shape of the sunshade awning will make the elderly think of the familiar environment of the coffee shop, and they will feel as if they are sitting at the coffee table under the sunshade awning when making coffee. Combined with the "community coffee circle" function on the cloud platform, the elderly can share recipes with other users through the product, allowing them to enjoy the social interaction and sense of ritual of the coffee shop without going out, thus meeting their social needs. Key Functions 1.Bluetooth Linkage Closed Loop The phone stand automatically triggers the process: Place the phone on the stand → Magnetic fixation → Automatic Bluetooth connection → APP automatically pops up → APP displays recipe recommendations/brewing control interface. 2.Intelligent Brewing Button control of the induction cooktop: Press the start…
