Initial Design Concepts ——Sun Xue
Option 1: This product aims to build a bridge between the elderly and young people. Both generations can use it to record their food recipes and opinions on these cooking methods. Since young people cannot be with the elderly anytime and anywhere, a product that connects the two generations through food and cooking habits becomes particularly important. Option 2: Elderly people want to join in the joy of cooking with their families, so they are unwilling to just wait for meals to be served. They also have unique insights into food preparation and are eager to participate in the cooking process. However, many existing products are not elderly-friendly. Therefore, I have designed a knife specifically for the elderly, allowing them to grip it more securely for cutting ingredients and fully enjoy the time of cooking with their families. Option 3: As the elderly age, their eyesight tends to decline. Therefore, I have designed a unique recipe book that comes with a dedicated pen. The pen can loudly convey the recipe content to the elderly, so they don’t need to strain to read the text and only need to listen. Additionally, the recipe book allows young people to add their comments on the dishes, enabling better communication between the elderly and young generations.
