The Items Elderly Often Gives Food With

Hey guys! This is an follow-up post regarding to my answer on the brief. I’m attaching photos of the products elderly find at their houses to give food to stray animals.

1-EPS trays

Two large adult stray dogs get food in the winter.

For example these are some plates made of EPS. In Turkey, when you buy meat/chicken etc from supermarket’s butcher, they give the food item on these trays. Most of the people, in this case elderly wash them, store them, and when they want to give food the strays, they use these. However this might cause some pollutions on the streets, since they have no protection bacteria can grow on the food.

2-Yoghurt Buckets

Yoghurt is an essential food for Turkish people. People buy yoghurt all the time and they wash the cups, and store them. When they want to feed to animals they use them. Since it is plastic, it might cause some problems like bad mouth hygiene in animals, pollution on streets, easy to be dislocated due to weather conditions or external human factors.

Can you let me know what has prompted you to select this topic?

What is your target cost for the solution?
How many items do you estimate will need to be produced?
How do you envisage the items will be distributed?

I am looking forward to your answers, Erik

Some of ours grandparents, and parents do feed the stray animals. Also, we are highly interested in well-being of animals around us. For me, I’ve been volunteering in Animal Club of my uni for almost 3 years. These factors made us select this topic. For the target cost, we’ll be uploading another post in detail. Thanks for the questions, we will try to answer those as well in our post.
