This practice serves as a form of family leisure, enjoying the outdoors, drinking chimarr\u00e3o, and more. With this in mind, we decided to propose this concept for our briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target Audience:<\/strong> Families (parents, children, etc.) of all social classes and age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Context:<\/strong><br>Visiting parks is an important cultural activity for the people of Rio Grande do Sul, especially those from Porto Alegre. It usually takes place on weekends, particularly on Sundays. This practice is deeply rooted in the local culture for several reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Connection with nature and chimarr\u00e3o:<\/strong> This typical drink, enjoyed outdoors, strengthens cultural ties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The rural traditions of the ga\u00facho people:<\/strong> They value nature and contact with green spaces, which influences the habit of going to parks with family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parks serve as gathering places<\/strong> for family and friends to chat, share chimarr\u00e3o, engage in sports, or simply relax. They are also venues for cultural events, such as fairs and artistic performances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chimarr\u00e3o: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What it is:<\/strong><br>A traditional drink from southern Brazil, it has a warm, bitter flavor and is prepared with ground yerba-mate and warm water, served in a <em>cuia<\/em> (gourd) with a <em>bomba<\/em> (metal straw).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Origins:<\/strong><br>It is a heritage of the Guarani indigenous people, who once inhabited what are now Paraguay and the state of Paran\u00e1, Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Culture of Chimarr\u00e3o<\/strong> is one of the most significant symbols representing the identity of the ga\u00facho people. It is a timeless tradition, symbolizing both personal identity and a social ritual, from the preparation to the act of drinking (usually done in groups, known as a <em>roda de chimarr\u00e3o<\/em>). Many parks end up abandoned, without benches or comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy chimarr\u00e3o.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New generations are less connected<\/strong> to the culture and the outdoors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What can be done to change this:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Raise awareness<\/strong> about the importance of outdoor leisure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Incentive programs<\/strong> that promote family activities, such as \u201cSunday in the Park\u201d events with free, accessible activities for children and adults.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Offer guided activities<\/strong>, like yoga sessions, sports, fairs, or pet adoption events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilize <strong>Positive Design strategies<\/strong>, which aim to promote well-being, happiness, and interpersonal connections through products, services, or experiences. Design environments that foster social interactions and evoke positive emotions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ephemeral architecture<\/strong> can be a strategy to create temporary structures for events, fairs, and artistic installations, with innovative designs, materials, and concepts.
