Hello everyone! I’m Ilayda, from Ankara, Turkey. I\u2019m an Industrial Design student at METU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I love to lose myself in the world of fantasy through both books and movies, Percy Jackson and Lord of the Rings being among my favorites which is very interesting even they are in the same genre still their storytelling is incredibly different. These books and movies have developed my imagination and sparked my interest in storytelling. I enjoy exploring complex worlds, characters and narratives and this inspires my dream of one day working in film. Another thing that I love is camping. Camping takes me away from the stress of the world for a short time and allows me to renew myself. Although I am not very effective in hiking :\u2019), it is definitely a very peaceful activity for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I guess my ultimate goal is to create films that captivate audiences and carry them to new places, just like the stories that inspire me. Seeing people enjoying what I do and seeing the emotions on their faces makes me very enthusiastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project that I love the most was the final project of the fall semester in the first year. It was a project about ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I enjoyed the process and the result immensely. The process was quite creative. In addition, the fact that the subject we were working on was very aesthetically beautiful took the design process to a very different dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite place on campus might be the red armchairs in the library. As architecture students, we rarely use it, but it is a place that relaxes and entertains me. Especially in winter because it is very well heated (unfortunately, the studios are usually very cold), I often stop by to relax. The view directly overlooks the forest and it is an incredibly quiet place. It is a very convenient place to read a book, relax or sleep.
