Barbara Balbi in her talk titled Power to the People: Tools for Good Design will provide an overview of tools to support a design that meets user needs. The user-centred design approach will be presented as an effective aid for prototyping in the context of Global Studio approach.
Barbara Balbi, restorer at the Superintendency of the city of Naples, specialised in art history, has a PhD in industrial design (digital humanities) and a master degree on New technologies for social and human science. She has participated in the teaching activities of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples and
has had a research grant on the design of new technologies for the fruition of cultural heritage. She has lectured in national and international conferences and she is the author of articles on the topics of UX of interaction in digital fruition of cultural heritage and restoration techniques. Since 2019, on behalf of the Superintendency, she is in charge of the conservation of the fine arts heritage of some district of Naples, supervising and directing many restoration works.
