The concept consists of a perforated board that has its own accessories to be able to support the shoes.
The board has circular holes distributed to form a pattern. The idea is to have cylinders that fit into the holes, so that they serve as the support for the shoes. The cylinders are not permanently attached to the board. Instead, they can be inserted into the preferred holes, which allows the user to personalize the board and to adapt it for their use. For example, the cylinders can be put closer to fit the shoe size of a child, more separately for adult shoes, or even a row can be kept empty to make room for taller shoes, such as boots. Another idea is to have shelves of different sizes attached to the cylinders, so that the shoes can be placed on them.
The panel has a magnetic surface on the back of it, and each cylinder has on its back the opposite pole of the magnet, so when they come in contact the cylinder is properly attached to the panel.
Also, the shape of the board makes it possible to put several of them together to form a bigger shoe rack, in case more space for shoe storage is needed.

ODEI | DESIGN TEAM 20
We really found the idea quite original and liked it. That is so different types of approach. However for usage of elder people it might be quite hard because of it’s detailed concept. Also we had some difficulties to understand how they will store the shelves and their magnetic sticks. Also because it has lots of pieces they might disappear. Moreover, when hosts come to their houses they might waste a lot of time to put their shoes to perforated board. Lastly, when they on the way out the door, they can hit the shoes and shoes can fall down. So we have doubts that it can create chaos in such crowded environment.
